When I click on an event (regardless of which ever view I am in), it will bring up details for the ready for me to edit.

As you can see, I have shared this event with Lisa. Easy... Anytime I create an event, I get to decide whether or not to share this event with someone else in my Group.

Since this event is shared with Lisa, she get to see this event as well in her account. She gets to view and add sub-notes to this event and it'll show up when I retrieve it.

Yes, I got Eric's event right away.

You can see that I had also submitted a note to this event. (See, the first note was from me)

I like the fact that even though we can add notes to the same event, either Eric nor I can edit or delete each other's notes. It's great way to communicate and you know that your notes are safe at any time.
